Local fix
The only known work around would be to utilize ipfilters to prevent the an icmp request from gathering timestamp information. This work around is discussed in the following technical article: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg3T101290 9

Problem conclusion
Added a network option icmptimestamp , using which we can silently discard icmp timestamp request. For netmask the option is already present icmpaddressmask.
