Error description

  • There may be cases that a particular IO hit too many
ENXIO
errors returned by the FC adapter.
Normally, that would result in an I/O failure and
an undetermined disk error be logged.
In the case of MPIO configurations, this APAR makes the
code more robust and allows the PCM to route the I/O to
another path for retry, rather than failing the I/O
outright after multiple retries on a single path.
