  • halevel -s command shows 7.1.1 SP3 for HA 711 SP2 system
with a single SP3 APAR but not the entire SP3 installed.

Problem summary


    

  • Running "halevel -s" may return an incorrect SP level based on
what is actually installed on the system.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A new file, /usr/es/sbin/cluster/etc/SP will be shipped as part
of the cluster.es.server.rte fileset with each SP.  The file
will contain the SP number being shipped.  This will also
ensure that the vrmf number of the cluster.es.server.rte
fileset will always agree with the SP number.  This guarantees
that halevel will accurately report the SP number.
