APAR status

Error description

  • trustchk -u for accessauths fails for reserved auths
ALLOW_OWNER ALLOW_GROUP ALLOW_ALL

#trustchk -u <filename> accessauths=ALLOW_ALL
trustchk: Invalid value for accessauth attribute
trustchk: Invalid file or directory or device name
specified: <filename>

Local fix

  • Change manually the /etc/security/tsd/tsd.dat accessauths
values for the stanza needed, then run trustchk -u ALL

Problem summary

  • User will be unable to add auths using trustchk if auth is a
reserved words (ie. ALLOW_ALL).

Problem conclusion

  • A condition has been added to allow trustchk to add auths that
are valid and reserved words.
