  • The CIFS driver may crash or hang when
IV72092 is installed.  Stack traces
will vary.

Local fix

  • Back out the fix for IV72092 or
revert to an earlier version of
bos.cifs_fs.rte.

Problem summary

  • cifs_fs may cause a system crash or a process hang due to
corruption of smbnode tree. Stack traces will vary.

Problem conclusion

  • Change locking mechanism to avoid trying to remove a node twice
