Error after canceling PM-generated Work Orders

Troubleshooting


Problem

Meaning of system message: "BMXAA8233I - Do you want to reinstate the Preventive Maintenance record while you are canceling the PM work order?"

Symptom

STEPS:


1. Open the Preventive Maintenance application and select an active PM record.

2. Open the "Select Action" menu and select "Generate Work Orders".

3. On the "Generate Work Orders" window, click OK.

4. Then verify the following message.

"BMAA3208I - PM 1234 created work order 56789."

5. Open the Work Order Tracking application and select the Work Order created in the previous step.

6. Open the "Select Action" menu and select "Change Status".

7. On the "Change Status" window, choose "Canceled" in the New Status field and click OK.

8. Then the following popup will appear.

"BMXAA8233I - Do you want to reinstate the Preventive Maintenance record while you are canceling the PM work order?"

- What does 'reinstate the preventative maintenance record' mean?

- What happens when I select "Yes" to that question and what happens when I select No to that question?
