RBM LDAP authentication fails on DataPower appliance when user belongs to multiple groups

Troubleshooting


Problem

When using LDAP authentication for RBM, authentication failure may occur if the user belongs to multiple groups. This can occur on firmware versions below 7.0.

Symptom

The following errors may be seen:


[error] rbm (RBM-Settings): RBM: Authentication failed - Access Denied

[error] xmlmgr (map-manager):
Error querying server my.server.com: LDAP search failed

[error] rbm(RBM-Settings): Multiple entries found for CN=amy,OU=xx,OU=xx, DC=xx,DC=com
