Error description
A ROUTE command targetting more than one system issued message IEE421I indicating that NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM(S) and the list was all systems the command was ROUTED to. A review of the SYSLOGs showed that the command had been sent to each system, and each system processed the command and issued the resonse, however, the responses did not get aggregated into the IEE421I. A display of the *ROUTEnn console showed that queuing to it was SUSPENDED due to MEMORY LIMIT reached. We were able to determine that there had been a ROUTE *ALL,F CATALOG,CLOSE command issued, which generated many IEC331I messages, which were all targetted to the *ROUTEnn console. This flood of messages to this console, along with going to SYSLOG and OPERLOG (also EMCS consoles in the CONSOLE message dataspace), resulted in the MEMORY LIMIT being reached. At the time of the dump, the SYSLOG, OPERLOG, and DIDOCS EMCS consoles were all operating properly, and only the *ROUTEnn console was suspended. An IPL was necessary to recover the *ROUTEnn console in order to aggregate command responses. *** Additional Search Keywords: ROUTEALL ROUTENN MSGIEC331I MSGIEE421I
Local fix
The ROUTE command continues to work, however, the responses do not get aggregated into the IEE421I. The only way to recover this situation is an IPL.

This APAR is being closed UR1 with concurrence from the submitting customer. A solution to this problem will be delivered from IBM in a Release (if any) to be available within 36 months.
