Prospect Reports failing - TNS Connection closed

Troubleshooting


Problem

When the system resource limits are reached, no more connections can be made to the Oracle instance, causing TNS connection errors and failed reports.

Symptom

Report failed and the following message will be displayed in the status Monitor and in the report log file:

ReportGenerator: 2012-06-06 08:04:16: Report failed: Exception : [SERVERERROR] ORA-12537: TNS:connection closed
