DWA server error "failed to register active session"

Troubleshooting


Problem

After upgrading the product attempts start IBM Rational DOORS Web Access (DWA) server result in "Active Session Agent Thread ERROR ... Failed to register active sessions".

Symptom

You can not establish a connection to the DWA in your browser.

The following error is displayed in DOORS Web Access Server log:

"...[Active Session Agent Thread] ERROR com.telelogic.festival.session.ActiveSessionAgent  - [Message:Failed to register active sessions: unexpected exception: %1s : Caused by: unexpected XML element. Expected <DRX>. Found <Container> with <ers-418ae5307ff23c34>][ClientLoggingId:null][ServletLoggingId:545415275397480088]
[rmLoggingId:0][SessionId:ActiveSessionAgent][subSystemId:RM_STACK]"
