Error description

  • External symptoms:
Recommended action when having an issue with the TCP function
is to *FAIL the function. If there are multiple TCP FCT's
active for multiple netservs, the customer has no mechanism to
determine the job number associated with the TCP FCT that needs
    to be *FAILed.
    Impact to customer:
Inability to *FAIL without searching days worth of syslog
    Analysis:
We do not provide a mechanism for a customer to obtain the
TCP FCT job number associated with a specific netserv, nor do
we provide a mechanism for a customer to *FAIL a TCP FCT by
Netserv name. The customer needs the ability to *FAIL the TCP
FCT associated with a specific NETSERV address space. This
apar is being taken to provide that function.

The projected closing code is PER for release HJS7780.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: TCP DSP job number is not known. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
A user wanted to *FAIL the TCP dynamic service program (DSP)
associated with a particular Netserv address space, but was
unable to do so because the DSP job number was not known.
