APAR status

  • Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

  • The CPF macro documentation indicates that characters in the
range from x'41' to x'FE' can be used as command prefixes. The
customer successfully defines the TILDE ~ x'A1' as a command
prefix but when attempting to issue a command using the TILDE as
    a prefix, he receives:

    IEE305I COMMAND INVALID

D OPDATA from SDSF verifies that the TILDE has been successfully
added as a prefix, but the ~ is blank in the D OPDATA command
response msgIEE603I when viewed on MCS consoles.

Local fix

  • Use only the characters listed in the table for the CPF macro as
    command prefixes.
