  • In the driver receive path the overall latency can be reduced
by first indicating the packets to the network stack and then
doing various housekeepings with the buffer or descriptor rathe
r than other way. Also multiple IO map/unmap calls can be avoi
ded in the transmit and receive paths.

  • changes made to rearrange the code such that the packets are
sent to the network stack as soon as possible by deferring the
housekeeping logic. Also IO map/unmap calls are reduced in
the TX/RX paths.
