Error description

  • Re-create:

     If Exp Groups
    default 9.3.131.1 UG 1

     # mkwpar -n mywpar -i -I rtdest=default
    rtgateway=9.3.131.1
     # startwpar mywpar
     # stopwpar mywpar
    * note: stopwpar triggers the corral/wpar code to
    eventually
call the kernel route component and routine rn_delete

Even though WPAR DUP'd route is removed when the WPAR is
stopped, it remains DUP'd in the global routing table.

The net result, the route is no longer DUP'd, but the
global routing table reflects this and all WPARs that
use the global routing table will inherit this - one
known side-effect is an ICMP redirect that matches the
DUP'd route will not be honored [as coded] and a dynamic
    host will not be created
The same problem will manifest when any WPAR DUPs the
global default route, than all other WPARs that use the
global routing table we'll have a DUP'd default route.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ICMP redirects were not honored and a dynamic host route was
not added. Global route not cleaned up after identical WPAR
    route is removed.

Problem conclusion

  • When identical WPAR route is removed, the global route is
cleaned up correctly. This change allows ICMP redirects to
be honored and dynamic host route is added.
