APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • APARs IZ56773 and IZ32865 modified 5 filesets.
Even if one of the filesets is not at the right level, it
can cause unexpected system hang. One of the problem
reported is,
gil can hang in intpri 3 waiting for a lock that is held
by another process. Because of the requisite problem, the
intpri is not synchronized for updates by different
threads.

Local fix

  • Apply all the filesets for IZ56773 or its sister APAR.

Problem summary

  • System may crash when bos.net.tcp.client is at 6.1.2.5 and
bos.mp64 is at 6.1.2.4 and we remove the default route.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix the requisites to create dependencies in between the
filesets in question.
