APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• D501. A recursive CTL error can cause an endless CPU LOOP
  spin. ALCS will be updated not to reset the interrupt counter
  on a CTL error and to decrement the SERRC limit

  Process SERRC limit for CTL dump.
  Add ALCS dispatcher timeout process after input list shutdown.
  

Problem conclusion

• Logic was added to treat ECB running authorized (under macro
  execution) the same way as not running authorized when a
  possible CTL-10 is recognized.
  Force to lose control when No Wait Counter process finds an
  ECB very close to getting a CTL-10.
  Apply SERRC limit process to CTL dumps the same way it is
  applied to OPR dumps.
  Introduce a ALCS dispatcher timeout parameter whereby the
  ALCS system forces all ECBs to exit when the Input list is
  shut for too long.
