PM95669: Z/OSMF REPORTS ERRORS AGAINST THE ZOSMF CACHE AFTER AN IPL

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• ZOSMF will experience JVMSHRC errors during initialization after
  an IPL if ZOSMF has been active prior to the IPL. ZOSMF by
  default creates a java shared class cache. When ZOSMF is stopped
  , the cache will remain. However, when an IPL occurs, the actual
  shared cache in memory is destroyed, but the semaphore and
  memory files used for accessing the cache, remain within the
  cache control directory pointed to be ZOSMF. Java will attempt
  to use these files to access the cache, but will issue error
  messages when the cache is not accessible/not found/etc.

Local fix

• deleting the files found within the /javasharedresources
  directory will allow a new cache to be created, bypassing
  the errors upon ZOSMF startup
