PI28209: RACF FAILURE (ICH408I) WHEN OPENING DB2 LOGS

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If users of DB2 Log Analysis Tool do not have RACF READ
  authority on DB2 logs, it is possible that a sporadic RACF
  failure can occur when DB2 log read parallelism is set to a
  value greater than 1.  RACF message ICH408I (INSUFFICIENT ACCESS
  AUTHORITY) will be seen in the Log Analysis job for a DB2 log
  dataset.  A subsequent S0C4 abend may also occur in module
  ALASBDB.
  

Local fix

• Set the 'Log read parallelism maximum' parameter on the User's
  Settings panel to 1.
