• AN ICE039A ERROR IS ISSUED WHEN ZHPF IS NOT ENABLED.

  DFSORT is obtaining storage and ICE039A results.  APAR PH03085
  is also superseded by the New Function APAR/PTF -
  PH03207/UI90067
  for V2R3.
  
  
  USER IMPACT:
  The causing APAR PH03085 provided the new enhancement, but it
  introduced a new problem.   The causing APAR overestimated the
  storage required below the line.  In below storage constrained
  environments, ICE039A may be issued.  ICE039A may also occur
  when DB2 utilities invoked DFSORT.

Problem conclusion

• DFSORT was modified to correct the problem.
  
  If you have jobs running in above the line constrained storage
  environment, then you may have jobs that were successful before
  applying this PTF and receive ICE039A after applying this PTF.
