Error description

• Excessive CPU usage and EXCP counts as measured by RMF.for
  KC4z (HKCSVR1) at times when neither indexing nor end user
  interaction are occurring.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: scaninterval="5s"  occurred twice in    *
  *                      server.xml  changing the assignment to  *
  *                      scaninterval="0"  for both instances    *
  *                      reduces CPU utilization and eliminates  *
  *                      EXCP counts on our test machine.        *

  Websphere was scanning for updated class and jar program files.
  After removing this function, the started task will need to be
  restarted whenever service which affects these files is
  applied.
  

Problem conclusion

• Simple configuration change eliminates unnecessary function,
  thus reducing resource consumption.
