PH00095: CTL-D INVALID RELEASE STORAGE BLOCK TYPE ON RALOC

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using RALOC for a block that was in Heap storage to reduce
  the size to one that fits in a TYPE 1 block ALCS fails trying
   to release the original block.
  RALOC Processing ... STH4000s in DXCSTH
    Flag STHCIND1 indicates if block is SU type 1 = 1, or Heap =0
    BAS to STH9000 - get size of OLD area - sets IND1
    BAS to STH6000 - get NEW storage - sets IND1 for NEW block
    Copy data from OLD block to NEW block
    B  STH2120 - Free OLD block (but IND1 is for NEW block)
  
  Need to save the OLD block indicator and restore it before Free.
