OA55110: D M=DEV(XXXX,CHP(YY)),LINKINFO DISPLAYS INVALID INFORMATION

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After dynamically activating a new configuration that changes
  connections from FICON switched to FICON direct connection, the
  D M=DEV(xxxx,CHP(yy)),LINKINFO still displays a four column
  report that includes ENTRY / EXIT Ficon ports instead of
  updating to only display Channel and Control Unit columns.
  .
  The LchpSwitchedChp flag in the LCHP for the CHPID is not turned
  off when the LCHP is rebuilt for a CHPID connection that has
  been changed from Ficon switched to Ficon point to point.
  

Local fix

• A re-IPL will correctly reset the control blocks used to build
  the LINKINFO display.

  When configuring from a Switched FICON connection to Point to
  Point FICON connection may result in the Link Diagnostics
  Manager task from incorrectly rebuilding and clearing the
  port type when dynamically changing the port connection
  configuration.
  

Problem conclusion

• Corrected the logic when rebuilding the connection
  configuration type to allow the display command
  to show the correct information.
