a define of a KSDS, define cluster fails with 172-2 for a
duplicate index component.

Local fix

  • Delete VVR and orphaned INDEX component on volume. Re-run
DEFINE job.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been corrected to ensure both DATA and INDEX
components of KSDS are properly removed after certain
Catalog errors. This will take care of the orphaned
INDEX component that led to the 172-2 return and reason
code (duplicated dataset error) during a DEFINE re-drive.
