Answer
On a Connect:Direct server, the userfile.cfg has entries for an upload and a
download directory. The upload directory is for outbound Processes sending
files to a remote node. It specifies what directory a file can be copied
from. The download is for inbound transfers; it specifies where on your
system that a file from a remote node can be copied to.
