including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs.  By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.

This PTF is subject to the terms of the license agreement which
accompanied, or was contained in, the Program for which you are obtaining

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
A writer transform exit program is written to add data to the
beginning and end of a DEVTYPE(*USERASCII) spooled file. That
data added to the beginning is being sent, but the data added
under option 40, End of File, is not being sent. the exit
program is being called from a remote output queue, which uses
LPR.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE51046' :
-------------------------------
SNDTCPSPLF (LPR) was discarding the Option 40 data returned by
the User Data Transform program if the transform reports that
the spooled file is already in final form (as it is for
*USERASCII.)

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'SE51046' :
----------------------------------
None.

Activation Instructions

None.

Special Instructions

If this PTF is applied or removed Immediate, you should first end all
writer jobs or end the QSPL subsystem.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI31363 :
=================================================

After application of this PTF, the RMTSYS parameter of the LPR,
SNDTCPSPLF, CRTOUTQ, and CHGOUTQ commands will accept either a host
name or numeric host address.  A numeric host address may be expressed
as an IPv4 address in the form "192.168.1.1" or an IPv6 address
(::FFFF:C0A8:0101).  A host name may resolve to one or more IPv4 or
IPv6 addresses.

The *INTNETADR special value and the INTNETADR parameter are now
deprecated on the LPR, SNDTCPSPLF, CRTOUTQ, and CHGOUTQ commands.
They will be retained for compatability, but new applications
should specify the remote system address on the commands' RMTSYS
parameter.

Default Instructions

THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
