Problem

A remote ftp client doing passive mode gets the internal IP address returned in the "227 Entering Passive Mode" message. Instead, Connect:Enterprise should return the external IP address that the client originally connected to.

Symptom

A remote ftp client doing passive mode gets the internal IP address returned in the "227 Entering Passive Mode" message. Need Enterprise to return the external IP address the client originally connected to.

Cause

Resolving The Problem

Specify DMZ_ADDRESS = "IP_Address_or_Hostname_String" in the ftp.cpd file for the external address.

Examples:

DMZ_ADDRESS = "111.222.33.44"

or

DMZ_ADDRESS = "ftp.mycompany.com"
