Workflow Reassignment Email Fails to Send

Troubleshooting


Problem

A user or administrator needs to reassign a workflow assignment and gets get error BMXAA0258E - Please enter a sender e-mail address.

Symptom

Upon clicking the Reassign button from the Workflow Routing dialog, the Reassign dialog appears. The user then selects a Person to reassign to. In the lower section of the dialog they may wish to add a Notification. If not using a Communication Template, the user can select a Person, and add a free form Subject and Message. When Ok is selected, the Workflow assignment is reassigned and a message will be sent to the Person in the Sent To field.

Sending a free form notification from a workflow reassignment may get error BMXAA0258E - Please enter a sender e-mail address. When a workflow assignment needs to be reassigned it can be done via the Workflow Administration application or from the Workflow Route dialog Reassign Button.

The problem does not occur for standard Communication Templates.
