Data (numbers/figures) are not stored after saving changes in data entry forms for some (not all) users when using Excel 2007

Troubleshooting

Problem

User launches Excel. User clicks 'Add-Ins', and then 'Controller - Log on'. User logs onto Controller. User clicks 'Controller - Data Entry'. User chooses a form and clicks 'open'. User enters some data (numbers) and presses "save". Everything seems to work OK. User then re-opens the same data entry form in the exact same way. However, none of their data/figures appears - it looks like none of the changes were saved.

Symptom

It may appear that the problem only affects some users, because it will only affect those users who choose to open forms from directly inside Excel itself.

  • The problem does not affect those users who open forms from within Controller.
