Problem
When using the InfoSphere DataStage FTP Enterprise stage and considering firewalls and Internet connectivity, it may be necessary to use either passive or active FTP. Which type of FTP is used by the FTP Enterprise Stage by default is determined by the FTP client on the system. You may find that if you are negotiating through a firewall, that you want to use "passive" FTP, however, by default, you may find that you are using "active". How do you change this property? With the FTP plug-in there is an FTP Service Type property that allows the plug-in to use either "Active" or "Passive".
