APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
On some systems with a double byte CCSID or language ID, the

QCSTCTL (cluster control) job fails to start with either the

STRCLUNOD or the CRTCLU command (with auto-start specified).

A msgCPD0024 is generated in the QCSTCTL job log.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE33501 :
-----------------------------
The CPD0024 message will be prevented by starting the

clustering system jobs with CCSID 37.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE33501 :
--------------------------------
The default CCSID of system jobs can be changed to a single

byte CCSID by using an environment variable.  For example, if

the Japanese or Korean language identifiers were being used,

this command could be used:

ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QTQ_DEFAULT_CCSID)

VALUE('JPN 00290 KOR 00833')

LEVEL(*SYS)

The change will take effect for system jobs after the next IPL.

This will prevent the CPD0024 message from occurring in the

clustering jobs.

Activation Instructions

None.
