Resolving The Problem
Usually, in the installation of an Industry Solution, the maxinst script pauses halfway through (actually, in the beginning of the UpdateDB process, which is called by maxinst), with the following prompt (example below is when you are installing Calibration):
Product Instrument Calibration Manager has extensions but a_customer.xml file does not exist.Do you want to continue(Y/N)?
The process only resumes when you type 'Y' at the terminal.
This check is made so that customizations, which are configured in the a_customer.xml if they exist, can be installed before the Industry Solution.
To avoid this pause, create a file called a_customer.xml in your project's "applications\maximo\properties\product" directory, with the following contents:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
Also, you need to create a directory called "a_customer" inside your project's "tools\maximo\en" directory. This directory can be left empty.
