Netcool/OMNIbus Integrations Release Notice - Probe for Email

Content

• IJ28204: Introduced new property ParseTextAttachment to make probe parse text based attachments as part of the email body and revert changes made by APAR IJ20126.
• IJ20126: Inline attachments with empty ContentID in the email MIME parts produced by some email clients preventing text based content of the inline attachments from being recognized as part of email body.
• IJ33729: Probe may not run in Windows because the batch script used the system JRE to run javaw. The batch script now runs executables from the default JRE in the OMNIbus installation.
• IJ26872: Introduced new properties MaxBodyLength, MaxHeaderLength, MaxLineCount and MaxLineSize to allow user-configurable lengths or limits to be set for the following elements: Body, Body_nn, Header and Header_nn.
• IJ27933: Probe may stop reading email when issues arise within the API while accessing the INBOX folder. The probe now creates separate threads to connect and read emails while imposing the timeout based on the setting of the EmailSocketTimeOut property for each thread. This also resolves a previous known issue whereby the probe may time out its connection with the mail server when reading large emails.

The Netcool/OMNIbus V8.1 version of this probe has been repackaged to support additional Operating Systems. The probe now supports the following Operating Systems:  AIX, Linux, Solaris, zLinux and Windows.
