APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
A user profile was enrolled in the system distribution directory
(SDD). The SDD entry for the user profile had a "DLO owner"
setting of "Group profile". The user profile signed on to the
system and performed a command that created a document or folder
through an integrated file system interface. The newly-created
object was owned by the group profile, not the user profile.
However, when using integrated file system interfaces, all
objects created in the QDLS file system should be owned by the
user profile that is signed on, regardless of any other settings
related to that user. All subsequent documents and folders
created by that user in that job were owned by the user profile,
not the group profile. The incorrect behavior repeated every
time the user signed off and signed back on again.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE66515 :
-----------------------------
The QDLS file system creates a control block associated with
each process that controls file system behavior throughout the
life of the process. A value in that control block was not
correctly set the first time an object was created in the
process, essentially treating that first create as if it had
been requested through a traditional interface such as the
"Create Folder (CRTFLR)" command. These other interfaces always
honor the "DLO owner" setting in the system distribution
directory entry. The PTF will correct the problem so that all
QDLS objects created through integrated file system interfaces
will be owned by the signed-on user, regardless of any other
setting. Use the "Change Owner (CHGOWN)" or "Change DLO Owner
(CHGDLOOWN)" command to correct the owner of any existing
objects affected by this problem.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE66515 :
--------------------------------
Until the PTF is applied and active, users should create and
delete temporary objects using an integrated file system
command, for example:

CRTDIR DIR('/QDLS/MYTEMP')
RMVDIR DIR('/QDLS/MYTEMP')

Objects created after that will always be owned by the signed-on
user.

Activation Instructions

This PTF contains objects that are activated only at IPL time.
Therefore, if this PTF is applied as an immediate PTF, you must
perform an IPL of the system to activate the PTF. Applying the
PTF as an immediate PTF will ensure that the PTF becomes active
even after an abnormal IPL where delayed PTFs are not applied.

If the PTF is applied as a delayed PTF, no further action is
necessary.

Special Instructions

None.

Default Instructions

THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
