APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
The Copy Spooled File (CPYSPLF) command is used with WSCST(*PDF)
to have Transform Services convert an existing spooled file to a
PDF stream file in the Integrated File System (IFS).

When the QCHRID (Graphic character set and code page) system is
set to 941 424 (Israel / Hebrew) and the QCCSID (Coded character
set identifier) is set to 424 then the underline character ("_"
or EBCDIC X'6D') is converted to a Logical Not sign ("?" or
EBCDIC X'5F') in the resulting PDF file.

If the QCHRID system value is set to 697 37 (USA/Canada - CECP)
and the QCCSID system value is set to 37 then the underline
character is converted correctly in the resulting PDF file.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE56527 :
-----------------------------
Code points with the same values as SCS controls such as the
underscore and hyphen were not handled correctly by the AFP to
PDF transform. Similar results were seen when using code pages
875 and 423. This will be corrected.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE56527 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE57490 :
-----------------------------------------------
Document format is lost when using custom font names with the
new embedded font function in IBM Transform Services product to
create a PDF file. Characters display offset up and down from
the base line. The alignment is distorted.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE57490 :
-----------------------------
The AFP2PDF transform will change which FOCA character metrics
are used when converting AFP raster fonts to Adobe Type3 fonts
so that the characters are place consistently on the baseline.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE57490 :
--------------------------------
None.
