Abstract

OSP-INCORROUT PASE DOES NOT HONOR PROC_SETSTTR OPTIONS FOR CORE
PROCESSING

Error Description

proc_setattr() system call fails to store flags (core_naming,
core_mmap, core_shm) in the process, which may cause core dump
files produced for PASE or Java to fail to store data properly
as it is unable to access the addresses.
This may inhibit analysis of Java program errors using a core
file because memory needed to debug the error may be missing
from the file.

Problem Summary

Please see the ERROR DESCRIPTION section.

Problem Conclusion

SLIC code is corrected for PASE core file processing
