Abstract

OSP-PASE-INCORROUT 64-BIT PASE APPLICATIONS ARE NOT "LARGE
FILE" AWARE BY DEFAULT

Error Description

When opening a file with open() or similar APIs in a 64-bit PASE
application, it should support 64-bit file operations, but it
does not unless you add O_LARGEFILE to the open flags. If you
open a large file (> 2GiB) and attempt to use the file
descriptor with APIs like stat() or lockf() you may encounter an
error with errno EBADF or EOVERFLOW.

Problem Summary

Please see the ERROR DESCRIPTION section.

Problem Conclusion

LIC is changed to automatically set O_LARGEFILE when 64-bit PASE
code opens a file.
