License Key Administrator fails to connect to dual stack IPV6 Rational Key License Server

Problem

Using IBM Rational License Key Administrator (LKAD) version 8.1.1, you connect to a license server using an IPV6 connection. You receive the error: “No license features were found on server port_number@servername. FlexLM error -96, Server node is down or not responding.” If valid licenses are available from the server, you receive a license even though you received the error.

Cause

LKAD fails to connect to a dual stack IPV6 license server.

Resolving The Problem

To work around this issue, you can install the Rational Common Licensing 8.1.1 iFix01 on your IBM Rational client systems and on the Rational Key License Server 8.1.1.
