Notes:

1. Quantum DXi6700 Series libraries are the enterprise disk backup solution. These virtual tape libraries can emulate various Quantum media changers and drives. However, we recommend configuring the media changer as Quantum DXi6700 or ADIC Scalar i2000, and the drives as HP Ultrium 3-SCSI, HP Ultrium 4-SCSI, HP Ultrium 5-SCSI, and Quantum DLT-S4.

4. ELEMent=AUTODetect in the DEFINE/UPDATE DRIVE command is supported.

5. Application Managed Encryption (AME) is not supported.

6. With Galaxy 2.1 and later, Quantum DXi6700 can emulate up to 256 drives. However, Tivoli Storage Manager may support less than 256 drives. See Technote 1364225 for information about the maximum number of devices that the Tivoli Storage Manager device driver can support on each platform.

Library and drive may require different minimum Tivoli Storage Manager levels. Therefore, ensure that both library and drive hardware are supported.
