Manually changing the context root for Live Object Framework (wps_semanticTag)

Question

IBM recommends keeping the default context root for Live Object Framework. If for environmental reasons the Live Object Framework context root must be changed, manual steps need to be taken.

Answer

Any modifications to the wps_semanticTag context root will be support as best effort. These changes were not formally tested and a fully supported solution is being reviewed for future releases. IBM recommends the Live Object Framework context root remain at the default value. However, the steps below should function and were not found to cause any immediate issues.

Modify the context root of Live_Object_Framework application via WebSphere Administration console.




Change any Theme components referencing "semanticTagService.js" to the new context root.

Any files referencing the old context would need to be changed in order for those areas to continue using the tag service correctly.
