Problem

The messages logged by IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances for parsing documents and completion of parsing may occur minutes apart but may not necessarily be indicative of slow parsing time.

Symptom

The messages logged by IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances for parsing documents and completion of parsing may occur minutes apart but may not be indicative of slow parsing time.

The messages that may be minutes apart in the log are:

Thu Apr 22 2010 11:31:52 [xmlparse][debug] wsgw(MyWebSvc): tid(99999123)[request][9.12.34.567]: Parsing document: 'https://<ip_address:port>/mydoc/services/ThisService'

Thu Apr 22 2010 11:33:22 [xmlparse][debug] wsgw(MyWebSvc): tid(99999123)[request][9.12.34.567]: Finished parsing: https://<ip_address:port>/mydoc/services/ThisService'

Because the first message appears when the incoming document is arriving over the network interface, the time between messages includes network delay and is not specific to actual parsing time.
