Question

Why do all of my Maximo records appear to have attached documents associated to them with the paperclip highlighted whether they do or not.?

Answer

APAR# IZ62827 was introduced in a hot fix for 7.1.1.4 and 7.1.1.5 and is in the core functionality of 7.1.1.6

It addresses a possible performance problem when multiple records exist that are queried for if they have Attached Documents or not.

A new property was added to the webclient.properties file called enabledoclinkonload

With enabledoclinkonload=false the paperclip for every record will appear as highlighted regardless of if an attached document record is associated to the record or not.
With enabledoclinkonload=true the query will be run to see if the record has an attached document associated to it or not and only those records with attached documents associated to them will appear with a highlighted paperclip icon.


After setting the property, you will need to save and rebuild and redeploy the maximo.ear file for the changes to take effect.
