Abstract

OpenStack horizon user interface becomes unresponsive

Error Description

The IBM Cloud Manager with OpenStack (ICM) Horizon user        
interface (UI) may become very slow to respond or refresh.      
The UI may become unresponsive and not useable.                

Problem Summary

The ICM Horizon UI may stop responding. The problem was caused  
by how the Horizon interface used javascript to handle objects  
that changed state.                                            
                                                               
To determine if an unresponsive Horizon interface is related to
this issue, please use the local fix steps and restart          
httpd.  If restarting httpd allows the Horizon interface to    
again work, please install the change for this issue.          

Problem Conclusion

On ICM 4.1 and IBM Cloud Orchestrator (ICO) 2.4, please install
these code levels or later:                                    
openstack-dashboard-2014.1.4-72.ibm.el6.1.noarch.rpm            
openstack-dashboard-theme-2014.1.4-72.ibm.el6.1.noarch.rpm      
python-django-horizon-2014.1.4-72.ibm.el6.1.noarch.rpm          
python-django-horizon-doc-2014.1.4-72.ibm.el6.1.noarch.rpm
