Abstract

OSP-OTHER-F/QLECWI-T/QLEDAGE-MSGCEE9902 DURING PTF INSTALL

Error Description

During PTF install it is possible to see a CEE9902 exception
message sent from the QLECWI service program to the QLEDAGE
program.  This exception message will cause a PTF to be marked
as damaged.

Problem Summary

During PTF install it is possible to see a CEE9902 exception
message from the QLECWI service program to the QLEDAGE program.
This error message will likely cause a PTF to be marked as
damaged.
At the time that this problem description was written this
problem had only been seen when a 5770-HAS PTF package was
installed after the v7r1m0 GA+9 cumulative PTF package.

Problem Conclusion

A change is being made to avoid the ordering problem which
results in a damaged PTF.

Circumvention

After PTF install has completed any PTFs marked as damaged as a

result of this problem should be reloaded using the LODPTF
command.  Then a new job should be started and the damaged PTFs
should be applied using the APYPTF command in that job.  The
PTFs should now apply successfully.  If you cannot successfully
apply a PTF in the new job then it is likely that there is an
unrelated problem with that PTF.
