Abstract

OSP-OTHER-INCORROUT EXIT PROGRAM BEING CALLED TWICE WITH APYPTF
COMMANDS

Error Description

When using the PTF apis to create and apply user PTFS, it is
possible to have the exit program called twice.

Problem Summary

When using the PTF apis to create and apply user PTFS, it is
possible to have the exit program called twice.

Problem Conclusion

PTF2 superseded another PTF1 with the same exit program, but a
different Run option. DSPPTF showed PTF2 having 2 entries for
the same exit program, 1st for Run option *BOTH and the 2nd with
Run option *PREBTH. Therefore, PTF apply used these entries and
called the exit program once for pre-apply and twice for temp
apply.  The code will be changed to only include one entry for
the exit program when a PTF supersedes a previous PTF with the
same exit program.  The Run option and User data specified for
the Exit program on the QPZCRTFX or CRTPTF interface will be
used.
