Troubleshooting
Problem
How to verify and troubleshoot disk space utilization in IBM Security Directory Server 8.0.1?
Symptom
As data update increments in IBM Security Directory Suite so will the disk space utilization.
Data updates can include add and delete operations in the server that will eventually impact and increase foot print in the available disk space.
Adding more records to the database will require more disk space while deleting records might not immediately release the unused space and thus impacting the overall storage space available to the appliance. For this reason, it is essential to have a procedure in place to verify and reclaim any unused space from the database and release it back to disk.
