Dashboarding: Using TDI with DASH

Technical Blog Post

Abstract

Dashboarding: Using TDI with DASH

Body

The out of the box widgets that come in Jazz for Service Management with the Dashboard Application Services Hub (DASH) are built to show data coming from a data provider.  Several products already come with a data provider that is ready to go.  However, it may be the case that you would like to show some data that is currently not being served up from a data provider.  In these cases, you can use Tivoli Directory Integrator (TDI) to make this data available to DASH.  (Impact also allows you to get other data and make it available in DASH, but Impact is not covered in this blog entry).

Take a look at this step-by-step video that walks you through including data from a simple database table in a DASH dashboard using Tivoli Directory Integrator.

NOTICE: Additional licensing may be required to access non-Tivoli data, so please check your license agreement prior to using TDI or Impact to access data.

Hope this helps!
