Convert a PR (Textual format) to a GR (Graphical format) in IBM Rational SDL Suite

Listed below are the two methods that can be used to convert a PR to a GR

Option 1: Through the Organizer

1. Open SDL TTCN suite organizer

2. Select Generate -> Convert to GR..

3. Specify the PR file name and the location in the section ‘Source PR file name:’

4. Specify the destination location where the GR (.ssy,.sbk , .spr etc files) have to be created in the section ‘Destination directory for generated SDL GR:’

5. Hit ‘Convert’.

6. Once the SDL GR files are generated they can be imported it into the Organizer using the menu option File -> Import SDL..

7. Specify the .ssy file that has to be imported under the section ‘File’

8. Now specify the path where the generated files are available under the section ‘For unspecified directory/ files, search in directory’

9. Hit ‘Import’

Option 2: From Command line

Below are the set of commands to be given to the analyzer (in the same order) to get the desired conversion:

1. sdtsan

2. set-pr2gr on

3. set-input <input pr file>.pr

4. analyze

The corresponding GR files are available in the TMP, TEMP folders on a windows machine. The location of TMP and TEMP is the one specified as value for them in environment variables.

Note: To access sdtsan from command line append the location of the bin directory in the SDL installation directory (for example: C:\Telelogic\SDL_TTCN_Suite6.3\bin\wini386) to the PATH environment variable.
