Problem
This technote explains how to resolve an error, "The server threw an exception". This can occur when running a Crystal Reports-based report in IBM Rational ClearQuest.
Symptom
When using the ClearQuest client to run reports on a multi-user system, the first time each user runs a report might fail with an error. Here is the full error message:
Caught a CQException at the JNI Boundary:
bugbert.srccqobjectmodelcqreportmgr.cpp-Failed to execute report;
unable to attach ActiveX record set.
