Error 'ActiveX component can't create object' when publishing Data Mart to Cognos 8 BI target

Troubleshooting


Problem

User clicks 'Transfer' - 'Publish Data and Structures' - 'Publish Data Mart'. User selects a Data Mart template definition whose target is 'Cognos BI'. User chooses their values, and attempts to publish their data mart. Controller informs user that job has been placed in batch queue. User clicks on 'Maintain - Batch queue - Manage', and then clicks on 'open' icon. User sees that their batch ID job has a status 'Finished with Error'. User double-clicks on the batch ID and sees an error message.
