Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches the Controller client. User receives error. During the diagnostic process, the administrator launches "Component Services", and tries to start the COM+ application. An error appears.

Symptom

Screen when launching Controller:

    An error occurred trying to access the server.

Component Services on Controller application server:
When right-click "IBMCOGNOSCONTROLLER" and choose "start" you get the following error:
    Catalog Error
    An error occurred while processing the last operation.
    Error code 8000401A: The server process could not be started because the configured identify is incorrect. Check the username and password.
    The event log may contain additional troubleshooting information.
